FAMILY SESSION IN LA CROSSE, WISCONSIN

THE LOCATION

The Pike’s family session in La Crosse, Wisconsin was super fun and super easy! I selected a natural rustic backdrop in Myrick Park for their photoshoot. I knew it would be classic and beautiful. My priority was for the family to really stand out! The neutral field and path showcased the family really well. The day was warm and comfortable. I love taking fall family photos in September before it gets too cold or windy. The children were really little so keeping them comfortable was vital. All of these photographs were taken quickly and within just a small area to keep the kids focused. I like to keep family sessions super simple, especially those with little ones!

WHO THEY ARE

This was my very first time photographing this family. I am so happy when I get to meet new people! The kids were extremely well behaved and loving to their parents. I was super impressed! The cuddles, smiles, and giggles came naturally to them. The family trusted my posing and location selection, so extremely easy to be around!

WHAT THEY WORE

The family did great picking outfits. They coordinated flawlessly without matching. The black and burgundy color palette was absolutely perfect for autumn. Only their daughter wore a bold pattern, which kept the photo from looking overly busy or distracting. They based the color palette around her dress, and it looked simply beautiful. Mom had earrings and a long necklace to add a little pop. Their son wore a simple black v-neck and sported some hair gel. For such a little boy, he looked so cool and grown-up! Overall, they looked perfect!

WHAT THEY ORDERED

I was so happy that the family loved their photos! During their reveal session they selected favorites to gift to family and friends. They also purchased a full digital collection for flexibility. Their digital files can be used for Christmas cards, sharing online, printing for their home, and more. This was perfect for the Pike’s who are decorating their new home!

FINAL THOUGHTS

Pike family, it was so wonderful spending an afternoon with you at your session. I appreciate that you prioritize capturing family memories! Someday the kids will be full grown and you’ll look back at these photos from when they were oh-so little. I am so happy that you’ve moved to the area. I cannot wait to photograph you again soon!
