WISCONSIN ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT MYRICK PARK IN LA CROSSE, WI
THE LOCATION
Hannah & Nick’s winter engagement session at Myrick park was fully of energy, giggles, cuddles, and joy! February is never warm in Wisconsin, but this particular day wasn’t too bad at all! The white snow was stunning, and the sun was glowing so bright as it set. Winter is a fantastic time of year for portraits! The couple loves nature and being outdoors. I selected the location for this session based on that. I worked quickly and made sure they had a ton of fun while not freezing too much!!
WHO THEY ARE
I have known Hannah for over 10 years! We went to high school together but never ran in the same crowd. I was so excited to finally get to know her after all that time. She is one of the funniest girls I have ever met. It seems like every other thing she says has me cracking up! I know we are going to be friends from now on! 🙂
Nick is soft and sweet and totally in love with Hannah. His actions and words showed me how much he cares for her happiness! Nick was along for the ride and willing to do anything I asked. He had no problem taking my directions! As he said “he’s used to being bossed around by blondes!” Haha!
This couple is awesome together. They are so loving and kind to each other, so calming to be around. It’s so obvious that they love being together. They snuggled and giggled with each other as we worked through the different poses. They interacted so well with soft touches and little kisses here and there. WHAT THEY WORE
Hannah and Nick shopped their own closets to put together their looks! They read through my suggestions and added their own style to my suggestions. I was so proud!
First, can we talk about Hannah’s dress? She selected a little black dress with lace detailing. The length, shape, and neckline were so flattering. I couldn’t believe this was something she had for years. It was perfect! She paired the dress with black wedge heels. Her shoes gave her a little extra height and improved her posture.
Hannah’s makeup looked BOMB! She took my advice and had it professionally done. My sister, Makeup by Sarah Koblitz, worked her magic as always! Her eyes were highlighted with warm gold and brown tones. Her lashes looked incredibly long and romantic. Lastly, I loved the color she chose for her lips! I’m a sucker for ultra feminine looks. Hannah felt confident and beautiful, and it shows in the photos! (She even decided to book Sarah for her wedding makeup, too!) 
Nick picked a super dapper vest and trouser look. Adding that vest layer brought extra dimension and visual interest to his outfit. The dark plum button up shirt with his patterned tie added just enough pop to give him his own flair, too!
FINAL THOUGHTS
Hannah and Nick, it was total joy hanging out with you at Myrick park! I was smiling and laughing the entire time. Thank you for braving the winter cold. I know you are going to cherish these photos for years and years!!
