WISCONSIN ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT VETERAN’S PARK IN WEST SALEM, WI
THE LOCATION
Kristin and Andy’s colorful nature engagement session in La Crosse, Wisconsin was a beautiful night outdoors! The couple lives in the Madison area and traveled to me for their photoshoot. They totally trusted me to select a spot that matched the vibe they wanted. Kristin mentioned an open field, a forest, or a park setting. I was able to deliver on all three looks! 🙂 The sun was golden and the light was super dreamy. We walked around with ease and had a great time just getting to know each other better.
WHO THEY ARE
I loved hanging out with Kristen and Andy. They were joyful, excited, but still chill and relaxed. They listened to all my posing and prompts but added their own emotions and expressions. I was able to really capture their fun and loving personalities in all the photos. (Scroll down to see!) It took no time at all to get comfortable with each other. They started having fun pretty much instantly!
WHAT THEY WORE
This couple chose wardrobe pieces that went great together! Kristen’s red dress paired so well with Andy’s simple button-up shirt and dark jeans. Then she switched to a lightweight floral print romper that changed the look but still matched Andy. Genius! Her nude block heels and his dark brown leather boots added more of a dressy feel to their outfits. I love when my clients put together polished looks!
Photography always looks best with professional makeup. Kristen treated herself to the fun and luxurious experience of getting her makeup done. Her skin tone was flawless, and her eyes POPPED. I loved the colors on her eyelids and lips. It was all stunning! Her hair was curled with just the right amount of bounce adding another level of femininity to the look.
THE WEDDING
Kristen and Andy are having a church wedding in February. Their reception is at one of my favorite La Crosse venues, Celebrations On The River. Now that I’ve photographed them in the spring, it will be fun to photograph them in the snow!
