This engagement session was on the best spring evening! It was a truly magical experience. Why? The warm breeze and the golden light of the setting sun provided a perfect backdrop for all the sweet moments between Haley & Blake! Because of the Mississippi River water levels, we switched the location from Myrick Park to Veteran’s Park in West Salem. I’m so glad we did! The fields were green and the trees were popping with color.
I took a few moments at the start of the session to chat with the couple and to take last-minute requests. Haley had pinned some inspirational pictures she really wanted to do. I was glad to see her inspo was all cuddles, giggles, joy. (Exactly my specialties!) Overall though, they just wanted me to do my thing and direct them.
I created a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for them, really allowing the couple to express themselves naturally. You can see in the images below that they were able to really show off their love for each other. 🙂 As Haley and Blake enjoyed the location and their time together, I captured their joy and affection in a series of candid and posed shots, reflecting the beauty of the moment.
As the session drew to a close, both the couple and I were filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation. We couldn’t wait to see the images! We all knew that the photographs from this session will serve as a lasting reminder of their love at this exact moment in their lives.
