Ashley and Zach’s wedding at Cedar Creek Country Club in Onalaska, WI in July was one I won’t soon forget. Covid-19 has stuck around a lot longer than we were all hoping. However, the couple was so patient and flexible. They were able to put together a safer, more intimate, outdoor wedding that was full of elegance and joy! The day was so super sunny, bright, and warm. The venue lit up with bright light..I couldn’t help but feel happier with all that sunshine!

The couple knew that they wanted a stress-free and joy-filled day. We built a timeline that allowed them plenty of wiggle room. They were able to ease into the day and even have a visit with their dog and best friend, Reggie. We finished their super sweet first look and did lots of portraits of the two of them. Their bridal party finished getting ready and joined. Although the weather made it a little uncomfortable to be outside, everyone had a good time during pictures. We worked quickly and efficiently to make sure they could get into the air conditioning for a nice long break before the ceremony.

There were so many special details throughout the entire day. Ashley’s dad built the custom arch and lectern, Zach’s mom took a moment to put on his boutonniere and give him a big hug, the couple exchanged hand-written letters…I could go on and on. A long time family friend even officiated the ceremony with special members of the family doing readings. Ashley and Zach stood so proudly up at the front smiling at each other through the whole service! It was a total honor to watch them exchange rings and become a family.
