LA CROSSE, WISCONSIN WEDDING AT CEDAR CREEK
Jennifer and Will married each other on a beautiful summer afternoon at Cedar Creek Country Club in Onalaska, WI. The whole day including getting dressed, all the portraits, their ceremony, and the reception were all at the venue. Wedding days are always so much less stressful when everything is at one spot! Cedar Creek is particularly great because the grounds are gorgeous and the interior is fresh and full of light!
THE COUPLE
Jen and Will approached my booth at The La Crosse Wedding Expo when they were first planning. I am so glad they did! They booked me well over a year before their wedding. We had lots of time to know each other, do engagement photos, and plan the perfect timeline for their big day.
Jen and Will are my favorite kinds of people! They are super kind and sweet. I honestly felt like we hit it off and became friends almost immediately. I loved chatting with them about their lives, their love story, and their pets. 🙂 These two are so loving and caring to each other. They spoke so kindly to each other and were constantly smiling and giggling. It has been so joyful to be around their love! They were open to my advice and trusted me to produce amazing images for them. (Scroll down to see!)
THE LOOK
This wedding was bright, fresh, romantic and all about blue! Jennifer selected a palette of black, white, and grey with lots of pops of bright blue. Because it was summer, the greenery she added blended perfectly with the environment. The bride created her centerpieces and aisle decor. The florist curated blue and white hydrangeas lots of greenery for the bouquets and boutonnieres. Cedar Creek has huge windows exposing the golf course, so not a lot of decor is really necessary. However, all the touches she added enhanced the space!
Jennifer looked stunning! Her dress had lots of lace detail and her veil was so feminine and romantic. Will wore a bright navy suit and stood out from his groomsmen who were in grey! I loved the unique idea of wearing a different color suit. He looked super dapper and confident.
A FOCUS ON PHOTOGRAPHY
As I mentioned, I worked with the bride and groom to create the perfect timeline. The day went even better than planned! All the bridal party photos were completely done before the ceremony and we had extra time for the couple alone! Jennifer and Will wanted portraits that felt authentic, joyful, and sweet. Because we weren’t strapped for time, the bride and groom were able to grab a drink and stroll the grounds with me. Their private session was more like a relaxing little date and definitely not a chore. The sun was low in the sky and I was able to capture those genuine loving moments shared between the newlyweds.
