WISCONSIN ENGAGEMENT SESSION IN STODDARD, WISCONSIN
THE LOCATION
Jessica and Darin’s autumn engagement session took place at their home in Stoddard, WI. When I originally spoke with the couple about possible locations, they mentioned their home was right on the river. When I arrived I was so surprised! Not only did they have access to the water, but their backyard was full of a variety of natural beauty: long pampas grass, tall trees, and more. Since the land all belonged to Jess and Darin we were able to walk around freely and use it all. Summer was changing to autumn and the colors were beautiful! I photographed the couple at sunset so the images were extra warm and full of golden light. Scroll down to see the results!
WHO THEY ARE
I loved spending the evening with Jess and Darin. They are so incredibly kind! They invited me in, poured me a glass of water, and even offered me a cookie. π We chatted a lot about their hobbies, their family, and I even met their very sweet dog! I stayed extra long just chatting with them in the kitchen; it was such a nice visit. Jess and Darin have a very sweet and compassionate relationship. Itβs so obvious that they love spending time together. They snuggled and giggled with each other as we worked through the different poses!
WHAT THEY WORE
The engagement session was in autumn so Jess picked out cozy and warm sweaters and flannels for them to wear. Little did they know, we were going to have an abnormally hot night in Wisconsin! I’m so glad that they toughed it out and stayed with their original outfit plans. Jess selected two sweaters, one cream and one mustard. I loved them both! They worked super well in the natural scene. Darin wore a navy collared sweater and a green button up flannel shirt with jeans. He was comfortable, but still polished. π
FINAL THOUGHTS
Jess and Darin, thank you so much for inviting me to your home! I had a wonderful time photographing you in your natural element. It was a total joy capturing your love. Thank you for being yourselves, you are a joy!
