OUTDOOR WISCONSIN WEDDING IN BLAIR, WI

Emily and Cody married each other on the absolutely perfect day in the small town of Blair, Wisconsin. Emily’s parents have beautiful property out in the country. They prepared custom spaces for getting ready, the ceremony, and the reception. The lawn, fields, and the pond area were meticulously groomed and perfect areas for portraits! Emily’s parents have a great deal of pride for their family property. In fact, it was incredibly special for the whole family to have the day hosted there. It was a total honor to witness the nuptials and spend time with all the couple’s friends and family.

THE COUPLE

The couple was referred my way after they got engaged. I’m so glad they connected with me; we were a great match for each other! Cody and Emily met me at my office and we talked and talked! They are so kind, super hilarious, and even a little bit sassy. I love their personalities! We became fast friends! We had a great time getting closer to each other. In fact, after their engagement session we all went out to dinner together. They are absolute joys to be around!

I love watching Emily and Cody together. They are constantly smiling and laughing and having a great time. You’ll see lots of laughs in the photos below. They are SO friendly, totally goofy, and so much fun. You’ll also see lots of snuggles and soft touches. They are super sweet and so loving as well. It’s obvious they were meant to be. 🙂

THE LOOK

Emily is totally obsessed with teal, yellow, and grey. It made perfect sense that those colors became her wedding palette!  She also adores sunflowers. I photographed her engagement photos in a sunflower field last summer. Of course she had sunflowers in all the bouquets and as decor at the reception.  The bright yellow sunflowers combined with the teal accents and all the bright white linens looked so fresh and gorgeous. I love her taste!

The bride wore a lace gown with a high neckline and low back. It had just the right amount of drama and flair! She added a sparkly headpiece in lieu of a veil. The bling took her ensemble ot the next level. The groom looked so slick in his navy suit with white tie. His yellow boutonierre popped against the dark jacket. The best part of Cody’s outfit though, was his smile. He has an incredible grin!

A FOCUS ON PHOTOGRAPHY

Cody and Emily wanted bright, colorful, true-to-life portraits that reflected their personalities and love. They wanted lots of images to reflect all the excitement and joy of their families coming together. I put together a timeline that allowed for traditional portraits, but also lots of goofy and fun images of everyone together. Scroll down to see some of the fun we had!

When the couple met with me for their big reveal session, they were both thrilled! Their faces lit up as they watched the slideshow that brought back so many happy moments from the wedding day. I can’t wait to see all the images they hang up one their walls. Their wedding canvases will look awesome next to the engagement canvas they purchased last year.
