OCTOBER WEDDING AT THE CHARMANT WEDDING – LA CROSSE, WI
Krissy and Nick’s La Crosse wedding at The Charmant was fantastic! They said “I do” and married each other on a warm sunny day in October. They had the most popular date of the year; 10/10/2020! The boutique hotel along the Mississippi River was the perfect setting for their intimate gathering. Krissy and her girls got ready in the Grand Salle suite. The ceremony and reception were held in separate spaces within the hotel too. It was incredibly convenient for the couple and all their guests! The only time we left The Charmant was to travel right down the street for photos at Riverside Park. The day flowed super easily. Everyone shared feelings of relaxation and excitement for the new marriage!
THE COUPLE
I love Krissy and Nick so much. They are my dream clients; so fun, relaxed, and totally trusting. They took my advice during planning, and their day turned out wonderfully! Of course, I can’t take all the credit. Krissy is organized, decisive, and was 100% ready to become a wife. She wanted a day that felt authentic and incorporated all their favorite people, and made it happen! Nick is the guy everyone wants to be around. He has a constant smile and made sure everyone felt welcomed and loved. I adored how he looked at Krissy. It was super apparent that he was overjoyed to marry her!
THE LOOK
Because the venue had so much character, the couple kept their decor simple and elegant. The color scheme of the wedding included shades of burgundy, pink, and ivory. My favorite design element was the twinkling lights with floral that hung behind the couple during the ceremony. It was a sweet touch without being distracting! There were also little touches throughout the spaces like the hand-tied greenery place cards at each reserved seat and the custom sweetheart table vignette.
Krissy was so confident and absolutely GLOWING in her wedding dress. It was a classic sweetheart strapless gown with layers of lace. Her makeup and hair style was fresh and oh-so bridal! I especially loved the fresh flower hair piece added by her florist that matched her bouquet. 🙂 The bridesmaids each picked a dress style they were most comfortable in but all coordinated the color. I loved the pop of burgundy against the green background in the wedding party photos.
Nick and his guys looked super nice in light grey suits with dark ties. Their boutonnieres were white flowers with burgundy ribbon. I think those little pops of color make such a difference. They add so much dimension to the look!
A FOCUS ON PHOTOGRAPHY
During planning I asked the couple what words they wanted to describe their wedding. They chose love, fun, and happiness. Super simple, right? I am really proud of the photography that I created for them. Each image matches exactly what they wanted!
Krissy and Nick wanted to show off their wedding photos in their home. My favorite piece they ordered was a large wall canvas of them in the park amongst the fall leaves. It makes me so happy when I think of them living their life day-by-day with that special moment on the wall alongside them at home.
