MINNESOTA WEDDING AT WINNEBAGO SPRINGS
Courtney and Peter said their vows at the most beautiful property, Winnebago Springs in Caledonia, Minnesota. The entire wedding day including getting dressed, all the portraits, their ceremony, and the reception were all at the venue. They spent the morning in their separate getting ready spaces for the bride and groom. Next, they married each other inside the one of a kind open air chapel. Finally, Courtney and Peter celebrated their new marriage in the modern and bright reception space. I love when wedding days are at one location, less stress and more time together!
THE COUPLE
The bride, Courtney has been following my work online for years! As soon as she was engaged, she called me to set up a meeting. From that original meeting to their engagement session and finally the wedding, I had the best time. Courtney was a bride on a mission. She knew what she wanted; a beautiful, stress free, and joyful wedding day! Peter knew what he wanted; to make Courtney happy. 🙂
The couple is so caring. I honestly didn’t feel like a vendor around them. I felt like a friend. Courtney and I can chit chat for hours and Peter doesn’t mind sitting and listening to us talk and laugh. Peter is Courtney’s #1 fan and supports her in every way. Courtney loves Peter with all her heart and treasures him so much. 🙂
THE LOOK
Every detail mattered to bring this dream wedding to reality! Courtney and Peter hired a rockstar team to bring their outfits, decor, and overall experience to a luxury level. The wedding palette was dark burgundy, gold, white, and pink. Because it was early autumn, the decorator incorporated pumpkins and deep tones throughout the spaces.
The bride looked stunning! Courtney wore a grand luxurious ball gown with the longest and most detailed veil I have ever seen. (Scroll down to see how I showcased her veil in the photos.)Â Her jewelry was passed down to her and added a lot of sentimental value to look. She wore sparkly shoes and even had sparkles in her hair spray. As I always say, more is more!
Peter wore a grey tuxedo with a bow tie and looked absolutely classic. His burgundy pocket square and boutonniere added the perfect pops of color!
A FOCUS ON PHOTOGRAPHY
As I mentioned, details really mattered to this couple. They hired me because they knew I would create flattering photos that were sharp, bright, and true to life! I posed the couple and their guests in a way that was flattering to everyone. It was so important to me that they LOVE how they look in their photos.
Peter and Courtney know the value of printed images. They wanted an heirloom album that tells the whole story of their wedding and shows their love and also a large canvas for their home. Now, they can walk past those items each day and be reminded of their special day!
