NAVY AUTUMN WEDDING AT EDGEWOOD FARM IN HENDERSON, MN
Amanda and Alex married each other at the most beautiful Minnesota venue! Their perfect wedding dreams all came true. The weather was incredibly comfortable, the trees had all changed colors, and their friends and family were all there to support them. Getting ready, portraits, the ceremony, and reception were all held at Edgewood Farm in Henderson, Minnesota. After planning for months and months, the couple was so excited to leave the stress behind and finally be married! I was thrilled to travel to Minnesota for this special destination wedding. (Scroll down to see the photos!)
THE COUPLE
I think of Amanda and Alex as my own family. Alex’s brother Jordan is married to my sister so I’ve gotten to know them over the last few years. When Amanda told me they were getting married and wanted me to be the photographer, I was STOKED! I’m so glad she connected with me immediately, because I still had their date available! I book up so quickly, so they were in luck.
Amanda is sugar sweet, incredibly compassionate, and super hilarious. She cares so much for everyone around her and especially for Alex. I’ve known Alex for years and seeing him with Amanda is so special. He’s extra soft, caring, and loving. I love hearing him compliment her and cheer her on. I’m smiling just thinking about them now!
Together, they are constantly smiling and laughing and having a great time. You’ll see lots of giggles in the photos below. You’ll also see lots of snuggles and soft touches. It’s obvious they were meant to be. 🙂
THE LOOK
The bride and groom wanted a rustic and relaxed vibe for their wedding day. Dark navy accents along with the natural autumn colors made a gorgeous color palette. The groomsmen wore grey suits that looked striking against the girls’ dark blue dresses. I couldn’t get enough of that classy look! The bouquets were full of loose white flowers with lots of greenery, totally matching their style.
Amanda’s veil, the lace detailed dress, the golden makeup look, and her amazing jewelry – I loved it all! She put thought into every detail, and it turned out perfectly. As cheesy as it sounds, my favorite part of how she looked was her big smile all day. 🙂
Alex wore a fitted navy tuxedo with a matching bow tie and buttons. He looked INCREDIBLE. His white boutonniere really stood out and added more dimension to his look.
There are a thousand details of their day that are noteworthy; the centerpieces, table cards, custom arch pieces…I could write all day about them! It’s much easier if you look for yourself. Make sure to scroll down and check them all out!
A FOCUS ON PHOTOGRAPHY
The couple loved the bright, vibrant, true-to-life color of my photos. They wanted sharp, crisp images full of emotion (my specialty). Photography was a top priority!
Amanda and Alex met with me for their big reveal session; they were both excited and even a little anxious to see all the pictures. Their faces lit up as they watched the slideshow that brought back so many happy moments from the wedding day. It’s amazing to think that someday they will be looking through these same images after years of marriage!
They were so excited to start sharing and printing all their images. They immediately ordered a large canvas for their home! I cannot wait to visit them and see it hanging up!
