MATERNITY & FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY IN WEST SALEM, WISCONSIN
THE LOCATION
This spring maternity and family session in West Salem, Wisconsin was absolutely wonderful. When given the choice, I will always pick vibrant green areas. Veteran’s Park in West Salem did not disappoint. Spring had come! I photographed the family in the evening when the sun was at its prettiest! Rain clouds and drizzles threatened the chances of the shoot happening. Luckily, everything cleared up just in time! I selected a semi-remote location for this luxurious experience. I wanted the family to feel relaxed and enjoy some private moments together! Rebecca and Austin wanted to celebrate their pregnancy and their two little girls becoming sisters!
WHO THEY ARE
I met Rebecca just a few months ago when my sister, Sarah Koblitz introduced us. Sarah is a makeup artist and did some work for Rebecca’s business. See, Rebecca is a fellow photographer. We quickly became friends; we have a lot in common! I was SO flattered when Rebecca told me she wanted commissioned portraits documenting her family and pregnancy.
Rebecca SHONE so brightly in all the photos! I was so proud of her for exhibiting such class, beauty, and confidence. She modeled with total ease. I gave her prompts and helped her look the best she could. However, I can’t take much credit. She’s a natural knock-out!
Her sweet little girls brought lots of energy to the shoot as you’ll see in the pictures below. š Smiles, kisses, and ring-around-the-rosie were all part of the session! Rebecca’s boyfriend Austin also joined. He’s super calm and sweet. I loved watching him interact with all his girls.Ā š I captured so much love between this family.
WHAT THEY WORE
Rebecca wanted a luxurious look. She purchased three of the prettiest dresses! The shape, colors, and material were all super flattering to her body. I told her how I was so glad she “went tight” with her gowns. Her bump looked perfect. Since Rebecca is a photographer, she already knew that professional hair and makeup bring your look to another level. Her look from Makeup by Sarah Koblitz was glamourous without being over the top. I loved it!
The little girls wore matching blush dresses with lace applique and gold embroidery. They loved dancing around in them! Austin selected a dark suit jacket with a minimal plaid pattern. Along with dark denim and a white button-up shirt, he looked super classic.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Rebecca and Austin, it was so wonderful spending the evening and celebrating with you! I hope these images bring you even more joy and excitement for the baby to come. I can’t wait to see your family continue to grow and change. The little girls will be big soon – I’m glad you’ll always be able to see them when they were little!
