Alli & Matt were married on an unseasonably warm and sunny day in early April. I remember looking out the window that morning at the Westin Hotel and seeing Lake Michigan in all of its beauty! (Alli and her girls stayed in the presidential suite so that they could all be together. Isn’t that cute??) The water was bright aqua, and for a moment it seemed like I was looking at the ocean! At that moment, I knew it was going to be a wonderful day for a wedding!
Every detail was carefully chosen by the bride and her mother and they were spectacular! There was everything from custom invitations, to embroidered pajamas for the bridesmaids. I especially loved Alli’s beautiful blue velvet ring box…gorgeous!!
After bridal prep and a few photos at the Westin Hotel, Allie and Matt traveled to their venue for their first look. When I arrived at The Pilot House at Discovery World I was in shock. This place was heaven! As I walked into the venue I saw a 180 degree view looking straight into the aqua lake with no end in sight. It was simply stunning! Now I knew why Alli & Matt were so excited to show me their venue.
Matt & Alli are both so laid back and relaxed and had the perfect attitudes to set them up for a stress-free day. I captured all of their photos in and around The Pilot House. There are so many fantastic spots for photographs. Plus, these two were nothing short of amazingly photogenic. From the first look to the last dance the entire day was extremely fun and full of a lot of giggles and love. Every time I turned around I saw Matt sneaking little kisses to Allie. It was super adorable. 😉
Alli & Matt, thank you so much for having me there to capture your perfect day! I can’t express enough to you how wonderful it was. Matt, your love for Alli is SO obvious and everyone in the room knew how perfect you are for her. Alli, your giggles and smiles are contagious. The way you smile and laugh at Matt is like nothing I’ve ever seen! Keep smiling and loving each other for years to come!
