I was absolutely flattered when Ben’s co-worker and new friend Emily asked us to photograph her wedding! Emily met Ben at work just a couple weeks before she got engaged, so it was perfect timing! Emily was super excited to get started, so we scheduled her engagement photos for right away for spring.

It was important to Emily to look her best in her photos. She took my advice and studied the Engagement Session Style Guide that I provide all my clients. Emily treated herself and hired a professional makeup artist.  Makeup By Sarah Balfanz did a great job!! She also bought this incredible flowy skirt from Chicwish that completed her perfect look. I love the movement it had and the pop of color against the green background of the park. Engagement photos are the perfect reason to shop for super fun and flattering clothes. 😉

Emily and Tim arrived separately to the shoot, and I was fortunate enough to see his face when he saw her. He was so happy to see her radiating with confidence! Tim thinks that Emily is incredibly beautiful all of the time. He loved seeing her feel so good!

It was a perfect warm summer evening in the Friendship Gardens at Riverside Park.  The golden sun peaking in between leaves made for a romantic setting for their photos.  What was most striking to me was the way they connected. They looked at each other with such love, their playfulness and their constant giggles made the night so enjoyable! Sometimes my job is just too easy! Following the session, we went out for a meal and chatted all about their plans for the wedding. There is nothing I cherish more than becoming friends with my clients.

The setting, their obvious love for each other, and their outfits that were inspired by the style guide made for the perfect portraits. I am love with their photos! 

Emily and Tim had so many uses for their images.  I designed custom save-the-date cards for them as well as one of my favorites, the guestbook.  They also wanted the flexibility to be able to print or post images for any reason in the future so they selected some digital files as well.

I simply can’t wait for Emily and Tim’s wedding at Stoney Creek.  They are such fun people to be around, and they are so in love. I just know it’s going to be a perfect day, and a super marriage!
