I asked Peyton and Erik to share three words they felt described their wedding day. They said: joyful, elegant, and indelible, and I couldn’t agree more! The day was HOT and very sunny, but the lighting was perfect to capture beautiful and intimate photos of the joyful bride and groom. Peyton and Erik’s wedding style was classic and as gorgeous as ever! The ceremony took place in the astonishing St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Sparta and the reception took place at the always stunning La Crosse Country Club.

What I Loved About the Day

Peyton’s veil was sensational and Erik’s bow tie was absolutely perfect. The succulents in Peyton’s bouquet added the perfect amount of summer to the style. Every detail of the day was completely planned out which made for an effortless photoshoot not only for the couple, but for family as well!

Peyton and Erik had a list of specific shots they really wanted to capture which made for smooth scenery transitions and incredibly natural looks as the locations were what Peyton and Erik felt most comfortable with. My favorite photo opportunity came when we drove to an area where Peyton and Erik had carved their names into a bluffside. It was so authentic and so personal, and they looked like they were completely lost in the moment. It was a very special place to them and now they have that moment of their wedding day to cherish forever. It is always wonderful when couples are able to include these meaningful places into their photoshoots!

As we headed back to the Country Club, the sun was setting so perfectly and so beautifully that taking pictures of the couple seemed elegant and classy, just like every aspect of their wedding. The couple was so happy just to be together surrounded by their friends and family. I could literally see them creating memories every second of the day. So, yes, indelible is a perfect word to describe this day for Peyton and Erik.
