Together At Last!

Rachel & Brad’s Riverside Park engagement session was something super special! For the entire course of their relationship, they have been separated by thousands of miles. Rachel traveled from Texas and Brad from Michigan for a reunion in La Crosse, WI. La Crosse is home for Rachel and the location of their July 2020 wedding at The Cargill Room. We decided to meet somewhere with lots of green, sun, and some water backdrops. I like to keep my location choices super simple so that the couple stands out. These two definitely pop!! 🙂 Although it was super hot, it was easy for Rachel and Brad to stay close together since it wasn’t going to be long before they had to part ways again. It was super sweet watching them interact. Rachel is bold and giggly and Brad is a little more relaxed, a perfect match.

I knew Rachel long before she met Brad. I photographed Rachel’s senior pictures 6 years ago! She loved how they turned out so it was super easy for her to put her trust in me again. She and Brad listened to me and tried all the goofy things that I wanted them to do. I was able to capture so many natural smiles and laughs. It was really important to Brad that the emotions in the photos were real and not fake looking. Mission accomplished.

I am getting so excited for the wedding in July. It is JUST around the corner. I met with Rachel to put together her custom timeline this week, and I know the wedding day is going to be relaxed and full of love!  🙂

Rachel & Brad chose to display their engagement photos with a custom guest book. It was an easy decision for them because all their favorite images are in one place. Plus, their guests get to enjoy all of their engagement photos and write sweet memos as well!

To the future Mr. & Mrs., thank you SOO much for having me at your engagement session. It was really an honor to hang out with you both during your very limited time together. See you both super soon!!
