the paine art center and gardens wedding

The Paine Art Center and Gardens is the absolute PERFECT place for a wedding! When my good friend and fellow photographer Dani Stephenson asked me to join her at this wedding, the answer was “absolutely yes!” Everything about this wedding blew my mind. In fact, someday when I’m married, I’m going to pull a lot of my inspiration from Melanie’s selections!

The Venue

The Paine is my new favorite wedding venue. I could go on and on about it. There is separate spaces for everything, but yet it’s all in walking distance. The gardens and mansion bring that old world feel, but the reception hall is so bright, white, and modern. Somehow, the designers have made the whole campus flow together wonderfully! The pale pinks, golds, and cream decor set an extraordinary backdrop for Melanie and Mike to pop in the reception hall. The dark greenery and rustic mansion did the same for all their outdoor photos. We could have walked the grounds and taken photos for hours!

Decor & Apparel

I am so happy that Melanie chose a long classic veil with a loose romantic updo. Her dress had intricate lace from with a beautiful illusion neckline. Finally, her shoes – oh my those shoes! Badgley Mischka makes the most beautiful shoes. Mel’s had satin and rhinestones, such a gorgeous combination.  Mike was dressed to perfection in his white bow tie tuxedo – a look that is timeless! I loved his little added touch of Wisconsin Badger cufflinks for a personal flair.

The centerpieces at this wedding balanced the room with the perfect splash of color and class. Thistle & Blume blew it out of the water! The gold chairs and white linens provided by The Paine tied the whole room together.

Such Love & Warmth!

Melanie and Mike’s families were so incredibly welcoming and loving. They took Dani and I in with open arms! Our job was incredibly easy because everything was beautiful and more importantly, everyone was so tremendously happy! Smiles and giggles everywhere! I met Melanie and Mike for the very first time on their wedding day, but honestly it felt like we knew each other longer. They were super relaxed and easing going. You could tell they were absolutely in love and just happy to be together! Please enjoy looking through some of my favorite images from their day, you will be so inspired!  To see more, you can visit Dani’s blog post too!
