Megan & Tony hosted a beautiful wedding in their hometown, Stoddard, WI. Because of their caring natures, the couple decided it would be safest to host a smaller intimate wedding this year and to have a grand celebration next year. They created a day that was focused solely on their love! Their guest list consisted of their closest family and friends. For those that couldn’t attend in person, they live-streamed their ceremony and even had a drive-through receiving line. Those were some super special ways for others to see them all dressed up and beaming ear to ear! The weather was sunny and warm, exactly what you’d expect for summer in Wisconsin. Their wedding venues had indoor and outdoor spaces. Because of the gorgeous weather, guests could walk the property and visit on the outdoor patio.
The Couple
Megan and I attended the same high school, but we didn’t get to know each other well until she booked me for wedding photography. I am so glad that we connected again. She and Anthony are fantastic! I love Megan’s focus and Anthony’s carefree nature. They are a perfect match for each other! She keeps him in line, and he keeps her laughing. They were constantly talking and laughing during their time with us. I love giggly couples. 🙂 They have so many similar hobbies and interests. It’s incredible how much fun they have hanging out together!
The Look
The venue, guest list, food, and more were changed in preparation for this smaller more intimate wedding. The couple along with their families teamed together and put together a plan B! Megan didn’t negotiate when it came to the beauty and details of the wedding. Everything was still as gorgeous as she always dreamed. The colors were burgundy, navy, and grey. The florist put together gorgeous bouquets that matched with the invitations. She had custom linen napkins that fit the palette perfectly as well! The suits, bridesmaid dresses, and of course the bride and groom’s outfits really shone!
A Focus on Photography
Photography was a top priority for the bride and groom. They wanted a photographer to not only take photos, but to guide them into poses and make sure they felt confident. I had a great time explaining flattering poses and prompting them all to get “snuggly” close and to flash me their best smiles. You’ll see all their joy in the photos below. I pay an extreme amount of details to how people look in the photos I take. I made sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time getting their portraits taken.
