LA CROSSE, WISCONSIN WEDDING AT CELEBRATIONS ON THE RIVER
Kendra and Aaron said their vows and became a married couple on Labor Day weekend. The ceremony was held at the most beautiful parish, Mary, Mother of the Church. Following their I-do’s and family photos, we all headed to the family land in West Salem along Lake Neshonoc where the couple originally met. It was super special to the bride and groom to have their portraits taken there! Finally dinner and dancing was held at Celebrations.
THE COUPLE
As mentioned, Kendra and Aaron met at her grandmother’s cabin, a place that is so full of sentimental value! They sat around the fire and talked for hours and hours. Everyone else at the party had left, but they stayed snuggled together and getting to know each other.
They quickly fell in love and knew they would be together forever. 🙂 Aaron proposed to Kendra after a helicopter ride over Rotary Lights at Riverside park. Incredibly romantic, right? She said yes and the planning began!!
The couple met me at the La Crosse Wedding EXPO. I knew right away that they would be a super good fit for me! #1. Kendra was smiley and positive and full of joy. #2. She had her adorable little baby with her. I love joyful people, and I especially love babies! It was a win-win ;).
Kendra and Aaron are absolutely obsessed with each other in all the best ways. When I photographed their engagement session and wedding, the majority of my photos were them looking at each other. It wasn’t because I posed them that way, it’s because they were staring at each other and talking the whole time. It was important to me that their portrait time was like a “mini date” with lots of chatting, giggling, and snuggles.
THE LOOK
This wedding was full of simple elegance! The color palette was sage green, grey, and classic white. The ceremony and reception venues had such distinct and gorgeous features of their own. A little bit of added decor brought the whole look to another elevated level. The sage green bridesmaid dresses and men’s grey suits made such a fantastic combination. I had never seen that color combination before, but would love to photograph again. It was soft and oh so romantic.
A FOCUS ON PHOTOGRAPHY
It was important to Kendra and Aaron to have bright, vibrant, true-to-life photography. They wanted sharp, crisp images full of emotion! They absolutely loved their engagement photos and now they have wedding images to add to their walls. I cannot wait to start working on their album design!
