JEWEL TONE AUTUMN WEDDING AT CELEBRATIONS ON THE RIVER
Stacy and Brian said “I do” on the most beautiful autumn day in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Getting ready, portraits, and the ceremony were all held at Celebrations on The River in Onalaska. They celebrated their reception with a small intimate party at Stacy’s parent’s home. After planning through the pandemic, the couple was so excited to leave the stress behind and finally become a family! I was thrilled to witness and photograph the happy day! (Scroll down to see the photos!)
THE COUPLE
The couple met me through a mutual friend who is also another photographer! Being referred is so flattering! 🙂 I knew they were a good fit right off the bat. They are some of the kindest people I have ever known. The couple is kind, sweet, and so thoughtful. During the entire planning process they asked me my advice and trusted my recommendations while always making sure the plan “worked for me.” It was awesome!
Stacy was a bride on a mission. She knew exactly how she wanted her wedding to be. It was incredibly important that everyone felt comfortable and joyful! Stacy wanted to be relaxed and able to move through the day without having to make more decisions or handle any situations. Brian is a sweet, caring, self proclaimed teddy bear. He loves Stacy with all of his heart and couldn’t wait to marry her!
The newlyweds, their families, and wedding party were all so fantastic! They were laid back, outgoing, and absolutely wonderful to be around. They all listened to me and took direction so well. Because of that, we finished photos early and they had extra time to party! These are my kind of people!
THE LOOK
Stacy wanted a romantic and classic vibe for her wedding. Dark jewel toned accents along with the natural autumn colors made a gorgeous color palette. The grey and black suits combined with multi colored bridesmaid dresses and Stacy’s stunning white gown made for beautiful photos. I couldn’t get enough of that look!
The veil, the long sleeved dress, the glamorous makeup look, and her amazing earrings – I loved it all! Brian’s grey suit was subtle and neutral but his dark lapel and white tie really stood out. The rich deep color and textures of her bouquet and his boutonniere added an amazing touch to the day and all the photographs.
There are a thousand details of their day that are noteworthy. I could write all day about them, but it’s much easier if you look for yourself. Make sure to scroll down and check them all out!
A FOCUS ON PHOTOGRAPHY
The couple loved the bright, vibrant, true-to-life color of my photos. They wanted sharp, crisp images full of emotion (my specialty). Photography was a top priority!
Stacy and Brian met with me for their big reveal session; they were both excited and even a little anxious to see all the pictures. Their faces lit up as they watched the slideshow that brought back so many happy moments from the wedding day. It’s amazing to think that someday they will be looking through these same images after years of marriage!
Their wedding album is currently in production. I can’t wait to see the final product and to hand it over to Stacy and Brian! I know it will be such a prized possession of theirs.
